The Optical Discs hold much more space than carts, and can't be copied... I can't think of a better explanation.

hmm...6? 1-10? I'm not sure if your talking about U.S. or U.K. so I think you're talking about Europe because U.S. already has many games out, too many to count.

hmm...The gaming forums never get posts. I knew it...
The consoles last for about 5 years, so last a bit longer. The PSX is lasting longer than the 5 year life span...The main reason they die so fast is because there is always new technology available.
