I'm thinking of creating a message board. What are some good free places I could use?

You can use Proboards. Proboards is free, and this is on proboards! It's quite easy to use and manage, too. Or you can use ezboard. Proboards: www.proboards.comezboard: www.ezboard.com

you can also try: www.xsorbit.com/www.forumdirectory.comThey have a list of ways to make forums, including the free ones. Proboards is back up once again, so try that. They're one of the best free boards. vbulletin isn't that expensive, so I'd get it sometime...It attracts more users than these boards. It also has more features.

Deffinately avoid EzBoards. Very annoying. Finally one a battle to move a friends board from there. I believe IkonBoard is free. win.ikonboard.com/

vB is a good idea if you can afford it. there is a whole ton of features, and its pretty cheap but you need your own server. also proboards sign-ups are down a lot like in a couple weeks so always be out in the watch

There's wBB, and Invision (IBF), but requires PHP & MySQL hosting. I dunno the links to the places, you can ask Nick for them.
